The Max Planck Institute for the Study of Societies (MPIfG) conducts basic research on the governance of modern societies to develop an empirically based theory of the social, economic, and political foundations of modern economies.
Applications are invited for the Visiting Researcher Programs
This program targets researchers specializing in economic sociology, comparative and international political economy, and typically provides stays lasting from two to twelve months. Professors, postdoctoral, and doctoral researchers from Germany or overseas are encouraged to apply, with proposed research projects expected to align with the MPIfG's research program and current Institute projects. Visiting researchers must secure their own funding and are required to submit a funding proposal for their stay. Upon acceptance, applicants will receive an invitation letter to assist in seeking financial support from relevant institutions.
Selection Criterion
Selection process is based on scholarly excellence and a research proposal (up to three pages) for a project at the MPIfG.
